 Lee Christmas Update 2020

This past year is one that will never be forgotten. Rather than remembering the pandemic, masks, or the unrest of an election year - I want to remember family time, home projects, purging closets, and a chance to slow down amidst the busyness of life. Please forgive formatting issues with the pictures. We had tried to address it, but... (smiley face)

With John working from home and not commuting  to Indiana Wesleyan University as much, where he continues to serve as the Online Chaplain, he had an extra two hours off a commute per weekday for much needed projects around the house. Among the projects accomplished were installing shelves in a closet to finally get the home office functional. Small corner shelves were installed in the laundry room and a bathroom was renovated. Finally, a barn door replaced a normal door to the entrance to our basement. Sarah was able to garden in a raised garden bed and we hope to enlarge it next year.

We had a neat surprise when Bailey, Sarah's niece, came for a visit with Sarah’s mother. John has been able to visit his mother a few times but not with the kids present because of the risk.

Since our vacations to IA to visit family for Spring Break and our Fall Break were cancelled, we adjusted and took weekend or day trips to state parks and replaced one vacation option that was cancelled with a week at Playa del Carmen in Mexico. Though the resort was only one third operational from COVID-19 and a recent hurricane, we still enjoyed being away from our normal setting for a week.

Visiting family (especially John's mother) was a challenge this year because of the COVID situation throughout the country. We were still able to have Sarah's mother and sister's family join us for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful family time and much needed for our kids to enjoy play time with kids their ages.

Some of you have been praying about Sarah's adrenal issues that have plagued her for many years. We want to thank the Lord that she has received help through electro magnetized water treatments (to remove toxins). It may sound like hocus pocus, but we've seen more improvement in her health than any other year in the past seven.

Have a blessed time with family and friends this Christmas. We look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus and all the hope that He brings into our lives. Have a BLESSED end this year and the beginning of the new one, full of potential and possibility..
